Slick Oyster has ever been the wanderer. Always thirsting for new places, faces, hearts. A youth spent all over the world, immersed in languages, customs, rites of passage, always ready to open a new door to the unknown, always willing to learn, to understand, to connect.

At home in a million different places, and yet a misfit in a society that wants to define and label everything and everyone, Slick Oyster is true to their own heart, and celebrates a life that encompasses far more than mutable concepts of gender and sexuality. It's those heart-strings that give Slick's sound its soul.

Slick never showed up without their guitar and their dog, loyal companions on journeys of amazement and wonder, like a bike trip from Germany to Greece, or a psychedelic adventure through the Lacandon Jungle. Along the way, great loves and great losses, surprises and reckonings, filled the cup until it overflowed, and always – music.

It's the richness of Slick's life that has provided them with the calm and presence to focus on their greatest passion.

In the past three years Slick has been soul-searching as an artsist and as a human, and fully immersed themselves in the creation of their new sound.

As a one person show, Slick glides through sexy and rich string-play with a sometimes velvety, sometimes bell-like voice. Fusing together the ethereal and the sensual, Slick sings about queer love, passion, oceanic dreams, self-reflection and empowerment.
